After leaving school I did an Art Foundation Course before deciding to go down the commercial route by studying Graphic Design.
My favourite job was in the Yorkshire Post Creative department where I combined creating adverts with Editorial Illustration - no job has since matched that in the variety of work I did.
As my subsequent jobs became less creative and more computer based I occasionally dipped my toe as an artist and in 2019 returned to my first love of creating animal portraits in coloured pencil.
I have been lucky enough recently to do some commission work, which sits alongside my day job but hope to diversify my range of subjects when time allows. As well as coloured pencil work I have also done acrylic portraits and landscapes using watercolour and acrylic.
